Melmark New England is a well established, non-profit human service agency that provides educational, residential, vocational and therapeutic services to individuals (ages 3-21) who have a variety of diagnoses and behavioral needs. We are committed to science-based, best practices as they relate to the individuals we serve. The student is always our first priority and we strive to ensure that our students have services that are evidence-based and effective. While all services provided by Melmark New England are based on a model of Applied Behavior Analysis and other evidence-based interventions, we rely on data to inform and guide the design of service delivery.

Our overriding goal is to help each individual reach his or her greatest level of independence in all skill areas and environments. The Melmark New England staff provides a continuum of training and supports for individuals. We are committed to educational excellence for every child, every day.

STUDENTS SERVED: Children and adolescents (male and female, ages 3-21) who have cognitive and behavioral challenges (autism spectrum disorders; pervasive developmental disorders; acquired brain injury including traumatic brain injury including neurological diseases, brain tumors and illnesses; other neurologically based disorders that result in significant behavioral challenges).

LICENSING AND AFFILIATIONS: Day school is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; Residential program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care; Member of the Massachusetts Association of Chapter 766 Approved Private Schools (MAAPS), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association of Private Schools (NAPSEC); Approved Continuing Education Provider by the BACB; Formal affiliation for graduate studies with Endicott College and the University of Massachusetts-Boston.

Melmark New England is a service division of Melmark, Inc. in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. Melmark is a provider of educational and residential services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The highest quality programs and services are provided in the least restrictive environment which emphasizes personal worth and achievement. Melmark was established in 1966 by Paul and Mildred Krentel whose youngest daughter Melissa was born with Down Syndrome.
