Leadership & Impactful Decisions
- Provide visible leadership on the unit, offering real-time support, feedback, and guidance to staff.
- Support staff by addressing concerns and unit challenges through clear communication and team alignment.
- Participate in interdisciplinary consultations to help coordinate care.
- Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
Staff Development & Team Empowerment
- Meet regularly with your team to give support, coaching, feedback, and answer questions.
- Observe, train, and support staff to ensure patients are receiving top-quality care.
- Collaborate with others to create and improve training materials, policies, and procedures for the Unit.
Operational Excellence & Patient-Centered Care
- Organize staff and resources to ensure the individual, social, and recreational needs of the patients are met.
- Facilitate and support the communication and execution of protocols based on principles of applied behavior analysis.
- Actively participate in applying behavioral strategies and collecting relevant data.
- Support parents and visitors to ensure quality service delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Psychology, Special Education, or allied discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) coursework is required; RBT or BCBA certification preferred.
- A minimum of one year’s experience with the implementation of treatment programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior disorders is required.
- Experience with and basic knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavioral Analysis principles required.
- Previous leadership experience is required. Professional experience with staff supervision is strongly preferred.
