Description
Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time Instructor position beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate courses in psychology, mentor and advise undergraduate students, and perform departmental, college, and university service. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to applicants with a background in applied behavior analysis, behaviorism, or experimental analysis of behavior.
Southeastern Louisiana University is located in Hammond, less than 50 miles from the metropolitan centers of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Southeastern has an undergraduate enrollment of more than 15,000. The Department of Psychology has approximately 500 undergraduate majors and 30 students in our master’s degree program. Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited university is required by hire date
PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS
Preference will be to those candidates with expertise that complements the strengths of the department
Successful college teaching experience at the undergraduate level
