Behavioral Health Clinician
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health, and as a part of Choptank Community Health (CCHS) multidisciplinary team the Behavioral Health Clinician will provide direct services including individual (children and adults), couple, family, and group therapeutic services to patients. This is an exempt, full-time position. Licensure will determine the pay grade within the pay range of $76,843.00 - $115,264.00. The Behavioral Health Clinician reports directly to the Behavioral Health Director.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of MD Mental Health policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma informed care framework.
- Strong clerical/administrative skills including personal computer skills (Microsoft Office software).
- CPR Certification
- Valid MD driver’s license
Education and Experience:
- MD Licensed Clinician (LCSW-C, LCPC, LCADC, LMFT, LMSW, LGPC, LGMFT)
- Must have master’s degree from an accredited University
- Must be able to meet and maintain the CCHS credentialing requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience providing therapy to adults, children, and families

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Addresses referrals from Choptank Health Medical and Dental providers, including referrals via warm hand-offs
- Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to assess needs and coordinate services
- Maintains weekly scheduled appointments in our electronic records system
- Provide therapeutic services to patients and their families in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners
- Completes required documentation and implementation in a timely manner. Documentation includes intake paperwork, biopsychosocial assessment, diagnostic screens, and assessments as necessary, treatment planning, discharge planning, satisfaction survey, and community referrals when needed.
- Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to our patients
- Demonstrates commitment to the philosophy of the agency
- Maintain an active client caseload, based on the needs of the program and in accordance with COMAR regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
- Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement of this job
Restrictions:
- May not have any private practice or provide medical services outside of CCHS without the written approval of the CCHS CEO and CMO/CCO.
- Any other medical practice may not interfere with duties and responsibilities to CCHS and its patients.
